TitleRay Fisher-Ross, Tommy Breckons, Basil Clough, Joe Hutton, Billy Pigg Trio Pipe music -various dubbingContentsMixed. All tunes traditional.
Notesre The recording of Diana Blackett-Ord and ?George Atkinson?: the playback speed is well above the recording speed. The tunes are too fast, and the nominal G, rather than sounding a little above F, is nearer G sharp .(JG)
Help?1. Which parts are or are not dubs of commerical recordings? 2. Find or confirm IDs 3. Unidentified tunes.

Quality good

The reason for suggesting George Atkinson as the player here, is the very close stylistic similarity between the playing of these tunes, and George’s playing of them elsewhere. In particular the detailed articulation of the two hornpipes and of Hexham Races matches closely to Steve Gardham’s recordings of him playing these tunes in the British Library Sound Archive.

Playback speed too high – see note at top.
