TitlePS Guildhall Concert – Newcastle Festival 1970ContentsRecording of live concert. (prob 2nd half)
QualityGenerally good quality though optimised for instruments rather than voice and sound levels sometimes vary
NotesFemale Scottish MC ??Ray Fisher introduces the Caisleys as “Nicko, Billy, Tom and their Old Man Vice-Chairman, no, Vice President of the Society”. This tends to confirm the 1970 date as Colin was elected a VP in 1969.
MC says this is Joe Hutton’s second set, suggesting this is the second half of the concert.
Joe Hutton also plays the No Place Like Home variation on NPS-JFC-A-001-01-13 – given its rarity, possibly the same year?

Colin names Nick as the composer of Cheviotside

NB On a recording of Cheviotside played at the Bridge, the composer is given as Nicol Caseley. However Colin C seems to refer to “Nick… he”
