Title | Alnwick Gathering – Graham Binless compere | Contents | Live recording of end of Alnwick Gathering
Notes | Live recording of the end of an Alnwick Gathering with Graham Binless (voice ident) as compere. He makes reference to an NPS concert “the other piping society, down in Newcastle” taking place on Friday 14 November at the King’s Hall, tickets 4 shillings. Friday 14 November occurred in 1956, 1962 and 1973. Can’t be 1973 as that’s post-decimalisation. Unclear whether this belongs with the other 1962 recording (C-002-01 where Binless was the compere) or is actually 1956. Thanks given at the end to “Willy and Daisy and all the dancers and performers” (MD)
